Peter Haynes is an Australian association football player who currently plays for Newcastle United Jets in the A-League.
Haynes was the top scorer in the NBN State Football League in season 2008, scoring 23 goals in 18 games. This earned him a trial at the Jets which resulted in him gaining a place in the 2009 AFC Champions League squad. He is a classy striker with a great eye for goal and a proven goal scoring record where ever he has played. Comfortable finishing with either foot and an excellent header of the ball he poses a real attacking threat. Haynes, whose football career has seen him play for Newcastle Breakers and Newcastle United in the now-defunct NSL, a stint in England and many years in Sydney's Premier League will now push for a place in the Newcastle Jets starting line up.[1]
